Pad Printing Technology for Product Decoration
Morlock, based in Dornstetten, Germany is a global market leader in the design and manufacture of pad and digital printing technology for product decoration.
We have deep knowledge (born out of over 40 years of experience) of the entire product decoration process from art development through production and product handling.
We design and manufacture:
- Pad printing systems as well as precision tooling, inks, pads and clichés.
- Digital printing systems – targeted applications
- Manual to fully automated product decorating equipment

| 1962 | “Morlock Mechanik” was formed (in Baiersbronn in the Black Forest) as a producer of high-quality individual parts and assemblies for industrial mechanical engineering. |
| 1984 | The company expanded when “Morlock Tampodrucksysteme” was formed (Klosterreichenback, Black Forest) as an independent equipment manufacturer of tampon/pad printing machines. |
| 1997 | Morlock became part of Illinois Tool Works (ITW), one of the world’s leading diversified manufacturers of specialized industrial equipment, consumables, and related service businesses. |
| 2001 | Morlock acquired a new 7,500m² facility in Dornstetten (Black Forest) to bring together “Morlock Mechanik” and “Morlock Tampon Printing Systems”. |
| 2013 | Morlock becomes part of ITW´s Industrial Decorating Solutions (IDS) Group. |
| 2020 & 2021 | Morlock and sister IDS brands reveal global “Trusted Partner for Product Decoration” position with dozens of internal process projects designed to further enhance efficiency, expertise and reliability. New logo and website. |
